Charles Leclerc gave an interview to Racing News 365 talking about the upcoming season, here are the words of the Monegasque driver.
On the Wednesday in Fiorano, a day dedicated to Lewis Hamilton’s first experience with the Ferrari, there was also time for a crowd celebration for Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque, in his eighth F1 season, is about to begin his seventh championship with Ferrari, with even greater motivation.
Leclerc is coming off his best season in F1, with three wins (Monaco, Monza, and Austin) and a third-place finish in the drivers’ championship behind Verstappen and Norris. In an interview with Racing News 365, the Monegasque driver talked about the upcoming season, focusing on the various aspects that are helping the entire team grow.
Here are the words of Ferrari’s #16: “Formula 1 is a relative sport, and we can only know what we are doing ourselves. Right now, we’re doing everything well, and as a team, we’re much more solid. .I don’t talk much about the technical side, but in this case, everything is relative, and we don’t know if Red Bull or McLaren have found something special for this year’s car.. It’s very difficult to say anything about that. We only focus on ourselves and try to do the best possible job. .”
Leclerc then added: “Ferrari is incredible because there is so much passion within the team, and that’s fantastic because everyone is willing to work an extra hour and is really motivated to change things for the better.. However, when things go wrong, the people working at Ferrari feel it more because they have an emotional attachment to the brand. Now, I believe we’ve made that step: the passion is still there, but we’re much less emotionally affected by what happens around the team .”
