by Letizia Ganci

Maya Weug and Aurelia Nobels have been confirmed for the upcoming edition of F1 Academy: the former will race with MP Motorsport, while the Brazilian driver will continue with ART Grand Prix.

As the third season of F1 Academy approaches, the puzzle of drivers set to take the track in the championship led by Susie Wolff is beginning to take shape. Contributing to this are recent announcements confirming the continued presence of two Ferrari Driver Academy talents.

Maya Weug—winner of the final F1 Academy race at Yas Marina and third in the 2024 Drivers’ Championship—alongside Aurelia Nobels, will return to the grid, supported by Scuderia Ferrari HP and PUMA, respectively. While the Dutch driver will join one of this year’s newcomers, Alba Hurup Larsen, at MP Motorsport, Nobels will remain with ART Grand Prix, teaming up with Lia Block, backed by Williams, and Courtney Crone, supported by Haas F1 Team.

I can’t wait to get started with MP Motorsport for my second season in F1 Academy,Maya Weug stated, before outlining her goals for the upcoming season and expressing her excitement at once again defending the colors of the Prancing Horse, while also racing for a team that represents her home country.

We’ll be working hard all year and fighting for more wins. I’m super proud to be racing in Ferrari colors again in 2025! It’s actually the first time in my motorsport career that I will be representing a Dutch team, which makes this even more special. MP has done well in the first two F1 Academy seasons, always fighting at the front and securing multiple wins. My goal is definitely to add more victories and challenge for the title. I’m really looking forward to competing in this year’s 14 races alongside the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends and showing the world what we’re capable of ,” the Dutch driver continued.

Aurelia Nobels added: “I’m thrilled to announce that I will continue my journey in F1 Academy with ART Grand Prix in 2025. Partnering with Puma is an incredible honor, and I’m grateful for their trust in me. I’m ready to take on new challenges, push my limits, and make 2025 unforgettable!
