Not just a driver, but now an aspiring actor—here’s what’s next for Esteban Ocon.
While in the United States, Netflix is reportedly looking to acquire the rights to broadcast future race weekends from ESPN, riding the wave of Drive to Survive’s success, the streaming platform is also set to release Honeymoon with My Mother, a French comedy directed by Nicolas Cuche. The film will feature a familiar face for Formula 1 fans—none other than Esteban Ocon.
As fans await the highly anticipated Formula 1 movie produced by Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton, set to hit theaters in June 2025, as well as the next season of the Netflix docuseries covering last year’s championship, the French driver will make a brief but notable appearance in this upcoming film, joining the Netflix catalog on February 12. Ocon, now the latest addition to Haas F1 Team, will also be able to add acting to his résumé, albeit for a short cameo.
The French driver will portray the lover of a bride-to-be, helping her escape on the day of her wedding. After sharing a beaming embrace, the two speed away in what appears to be a French Alpine sports car, leaving the groom stunned at the altar—an event that will ultimately lead him to embark on a “romantic honeymoon with his own mother.”
