The most thrilling Formula 1 season will soon be available from a new perspective, thanks to the seventh season of Drive to Survive, arriving on Netflix in March.

It’s now official: Netflix and Formula 1 have just announced the release date for the seventh season of Drive to Survive, the TV series dedicated to the pinnacle of motorsport. Starting from March 7—exactly one month from now—we’ll get to relive last season’s action from a different angle. The documentary will showcase the dramatic 2024 campaign, which wrapped up last December at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, highlighting McLaren’s return to the top after 26 years, Lewis Hamilton’s final year with Mercedes, and Carlos Sainz’s last season as a Ferrari driver.

Expect dedicated episodes covering the internal turmoil at Red Bull and the fierce battle that led Max Verstappen to clinch his fourth consecutive title, sealing the championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The series will also feature Charles Leclerc’s victory at Monza, along with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s maiden wins in Formula 1.

OFFICIAL: Drive to Survive – Release Date for the New Season Announced on Netflix

Tom Hutchings, Executive Producer at Box to Box Films, hinted at events that took place even before the season officially began in Bahrain—possibly referring to the bombshell news of Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari for 2025, as well as the Horner-Gate controversy. “We’re really excited for fans to watch the new season of Drive to Survive. The 2024 season was incredible both on and off the track, with the action well and truly underway before the first race in Bahrain,” said Hutchings.

Regarding what fans can expect from the upcoming season, Hutchings teased:
Expect more drama and fun from the paddock this season, along with a few surprises. Go behind the scenes as teams bid for the hottest drivers on the market, experience a weekend with the drivers at the toughest race of the year, and prepare for a nail-biting finale right up to the last race. Fasten your seatbelts – this is going to be our biggest season yet.”

Additionally, 2025 will see Netflix expand its Formula 1 content with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the F1 Academy, the junior category led by former driver Susie Wolff. The release date for this Drive to Survive spin-off is yet to be announced.
