The partnership between Mercedes and WhatsApp, the globally recognized messaging app, has been in place for several months. However, after launching a dedicated channel for the Silver Arrows on the platform, WhatsApp itself is now reminding us that the 2025 F1 season is fast approaching.
Last night, at 8 PM (CET), WhatsApp shared a few subtle hints about the 2025 Mercedes livery on its official channel, which boasts a staggering 221 million followers. Alongside this teaser, the post also included a reminder of the official car launch date—set for February 18 in London. To further engage fans, a direct link was provided to Mercedes’ public WhatsApp channel, which already has over 6 million subscribers.
Expanding Mercedes’ presence across social media has always been a priority for Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff. The German marque not only has 6.6 million subscribers on WhatsApp but also boasts 14 million followers on Instagram and 5 million on X. After Ferrari, Mercedes is the second most-followed team across social platforms, thanks in part to the immense global fanbase of Lewis Hamilton—one of the most influential drivers in the digital space.
