The enstone-based team, following major decisions at the end of 2024—including the switch from renault to mercedes engines—has now formalized a partnership with the italian energy giant. Following their agreement with Ducati Pramac, the french team is further strengthening its italian connections, with key figures like flavio briatore and alpine ceo luca de meo playing pivotal roles.

As reported by motorsport.com, the news has been confirmed by key figures involved in the deal. Luca de Meo was the first to comment:“ This is more relevant than ever in a time when we must reinvent mobility. to develop innovative solutions, nothing beats the combination of expertise and talent from major companies. That’s why i’m excited about this partnership with ENI—not just in formula 1, but also in exploring new opportunities for shared and efficient mobility. together, we have the potential to push the boundaries even further”.

ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi added: “Today, we are signing an important agreement that allows Eni and Renault group to combine their industrial significance and technological leadership in their respective fields, opening new development paths in key areas for sustainable transportation. A crucial aspect of this partnership with alpine is also the introduction of bio-fuel experimentation in f1—a sport that continuously pushes the limits of technological excellence in engines and performance“.
