The pre-season MotoGP tests have concluded: in 15 days, the new season kicks off. Here’s how the teams are looking.
The Marquez brothers dominated the Chang International Circuit for the second day in a row. Will they battle it out in the first race weekend? As of now, Marc Marquez holds the fastest time, setting a 1:28.855 (just over a tenth off the track record).

For the new Ducati rider, the race pace also proved solid: in his 24-lap long run, his times varied from high 1:29s to a maximum of one second slower in the final laps (source: SkySport). Meanwhile, his teammate Pecco Bagnaia failed the time attack and finished in fifth place.
Alex Marquez confirms second place, but shortens the gap: only 179 thousandths separate him from the top spot. Bezzecchi (3rd) continues to be the fastest non-Ducati rider on the Thai circuit, followed by Acosta, who took half a second off Vinales’ KTM, which was the second fastest among the Austrian bikes.
Morbidelli drops in position compared to the first day of testing in Buriram, while Mir’s Honda (6th) and Quartararo’s Yamaha (8th) improve.
The fastest of the rookies for the first time is Ai Ogura, with the 11th best time, less than 8 tenths behind Marc Marquez.
