The final pre-season tests of WorldSBK have concluded, and now the championship can truly begin: here’s a look at the favorites for the Australian weekend

WorldSBK Test in Australia, Bulega on Top Followed by Iannone: Here are the Results from These Two Days

Nicolò Bulega was the only rider to break the 1:29 barrier on the first day of testing. Behind him was Andrea Iannone, who finished the session half a second behind the leader, with Toprak Razgatlioglu completing the podium (HERE the full timing results of the first day).

On the second and final day, Bulega again dominated: despite the rain during the final session, the Italian posted the fastest lap once more.

Nicolò Bulega’s Thoughts

At the end of the tests, here’s what the number 11 rider had to say: “It went well: compared to Monday, I improved the feeling, which was already good. I think we have a good package to start this race weekend, and I’m happy with how I feel on the bike. So far, everything is going well: I know we still need to make some progress, but since the first day, I’ve made improvements, and it would be great to make even more.”

Positive feelings for Nicolò Bulega, who, however, prefers to keep his feet on the ground as the first race approaches:Tests are just tests. It’s nice to have a good feeling, but you don’t earn points in testing. We’ll see how the race weekend goes. Starting like this is great: I’ll start the weekend with a very positive mindset and try to stay at the front.”
