Max Verstappen spoke to the official F1 channels about the rumored contact with Aston Martin.
Aston Martin’s dream is named Max Verstappen. In recent weeks, several rumors have circulated about a monstrous offer from the British team for the Dutchman (amounting to 200 million per year) to return to the top in the year of the regulatory change.

To deny these rumors, Verstappen himself spoke out, and, on the sidelines of the event in London, he said this to the official F1 website: “That’s a lot of money. Honestly, it was the first time I read something like that. The only contact I had with them was about the GT3 for this year. That’s it. There’s not much to say, really, because there’s nothing. I’m not personally driving, but I’m creating my team for this year with the drivers, so, naturally, some things need to be in place.”
The Dutch driver then added, speaking about Liam Lawson: “I’m sure everything will go well: I’ve seen Liam grow in the junior team, and he fully deserves his chance with the team. I’m looking forward to working together and having another great season.”
Lastly, but not least, some jabs at the FIA: “Maybe I should just curse in Dutch or Limburgish, since almost nobody would understand it. A curse word in dialect? Obviously, I won’t tell you now. Emotion and passion are part of the sport, and I understand it’s not ideal to curse. But when we talk about the kids watching the races, I have to ask: what did you do as a kid in school, when you were playing video games or playing football in the street? It’s something natural for everyone. Of course, you need to be careful at the right moments, I get that, but I think we can approach the issue with some common sense, without needing overly strict rules.”
