According to reports from sources close to Ferrari, the team will bring the first update package to Suzuka.
Next week, the pre-season Formula 1 tests will take place, with the cars hitting the track in Bahrain from February 26 to 28. There is a lot of curiosity as the gaps are expected to be minimal, at least among the top four teams. While waiting for the regulatory change next season, along with the arrival of Cadillac, all eyes are on a season that promises to be spectacular.

Among the highlights, there’s certainly Ferrari, which, this week, took to the track at Fiorano with the new SF-25, very different from the one that preceded it last season. During the laps on the home track, both Leclerc and Hamilton gathered important data with the car already set up for the Bahrain tests.
The program for the Scuderia, as previewed by Vasseur, seems fairly clear, with the first races being crucial to understanding the course of the season but, most importantly, the teams’ strengths, which will begin to focus on the 2026 season. There are many dynamics to consider (first and foremost, the competitiveness of the SF-25), but according to sources close to Ferrari, the team is expected to bring the first update package during the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, the third race of the championship after the first two in Australia and China.
The new regulation change, which will lead teams to present front wings with different flaps from the current ones starting at the Spanish Grand Prix, should not be underestimated. The FIA’s decision does not worry Ferrari’s engineers, who are already at work studying and comparing the various designs that will debut in Spain.
