Milton Keynes calls, and Red Bull answers. The new Oracle Red Bull Racing 2025, also known as the RB21, was officially reintroduced today during the traditional pre-season filming day, exactly one week after the London showcase. The O2 event, widely discussed within the team—especially by Jos Verstappen, who defended his son after he was booed by the crowd—had already given us a glimpse of the new Milton Keynes machine. Its mission is clear: to defend Max Verstappen’s World Championship title.

In the spotlight today is Liam Lawson, recently promoted from Visa Cash App RB, taking part in a private test session in Jerez. The team’s leadership has set a historic goal for the Dutch driver: should he clinch the 2025 title, Max would break yet another record, equaling Michael Schumacher with five consecutive championships—an all-time record. If successful, Verstappen would surpass Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Juan Manuel Fangio, who all hold four consecutive titles.

The Other Goal: Bringing the Constructors’ Championship Back to Milton Keynes

Bring it back home”. Beyond Verstappen’s personal quest, there is another clear priority for Red Bull in 2025—reclaiming the Constructors’ Championship. Despite Max’s triumph in 2024, Red Bull fell short of securing a third consecutive team title, surrendering the crown to McLaren. The RB20 delivered exceptional results in Verstappen’s hands, but Sergio Perez struggled to match his pace. This led to repeated criticism from Helmut Marko and ultimately his dismissal by Christian Horner at the end of the season.

Will the New RB21 Bring the Constructors’ Title Back Home?

Liam Lawson now steps in, hoping to avoid the fate of past teammates who were “burned out” by Marko’s high expectations and Verstappen’s dominance—names like Daniil Kvyat, Alexander Albon, and Pierre Gasly, with the latter being the most notable case. The New Zealander will need to make the most of this opportunity, knowing that competition within the Red Bull ecosystem is fierce. Rising F1 talent Isack Hadjar, highly regarded by Marko, and the experienced Yuki Tsunoda—who has yet to fully convince Red Bull’s top brass—are waiting in the wings.

The wait is almost over. Tomorrow, we’ll get our first real glimpse of the RB21 in Bahrain’s pre-season testing, officially kicking off the 2025 Formula 1 season. A season that, for Milton Keynes, could be more crucial than ever.
