Three-time world champion Pecco Bagnaia expressed his admiration for Luca Savadori in this way: “He gave so much to all of us.”
Pecco Bagnaia met fans in Chivasso before the start of the season: on this occasion, the Turin rider had the opportunity to remember motorcyclist and friend Luca Savadori, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on September 14th of last year.
Pecco Bagnaia’s words:
Bagnaia, visibly moved, responded to the question about Luca Savadori in this way: “I had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago, and I had already been following him before. I’ve always liked him a lot; I particularly like optimistic people. I always saw him as someone bringing a new approach to our sport, which has always been very closed off: finally, there was someone who talked about everything, and I liked that a lot from the start
What happened is a tragedy, and it happened while he was doing his passion, so it’s even harder to accept. But in any case, he gave so much to all of us and to our sport, especially on the media side. He had the desire to put himself out there, and even though he had great opportunities from his family, he decided to do everything on his own; that’s something I’ve always greatly appreciated.”
In memory of number 23, Pecco Bagnaia also stated: “He will certainly be missed by everyone, but I will have the pleasure of having him with me on my helmet forever. So, in some way, he will still be there.”
