The Spanish rider expresses his emotions for the first time after two injuries: his words reflect bitterness, but also hope for the future

Jorge Martin has already sustained seven fractures since the beginning of 2025. His Aprilia RS-GP threw him violently to the ground with two high sides, causing injuries on both occasions. As a result, for the first time in his career, he will be forced to miss the opening Grand Prix of the season.

Jorge Martin’s message

Jorge Martin expressed his disappointment about this start to the season through a post on Instagram this morning: “The hits are always hard, but when they come one after another, the impact multiplies. This time, they were particularly strong, both physically and mentally, and they made me miss, for the first time in my life, the season-opening race.

The year isn’t starting the way I wanted. On Monday, while I was training for the first time after the fall at Sepang to be in the best possible shape for Thailand, I suffered a highside that caused four new fractures, in addition to the three I already had for two weeks.

One thing is certain: the hits can be overcome. I don’t know if this will make me stronger, but I know for sure that I will make it, as I always have. Now my only goal is to recover 100% so I can get back to racing and enjoy my passion, which is motorcycles. Because there are many races, but the hand is only one.

Thanks to Aprilia for the support at all times, to my family, to all my fans, and to everyone who encourages me every day. From the heart.”
