Max Verstappen spoke on the sidelines of the third and final day of testing held in Bahrain.
Red Bull arrived at the Bahrain tests with a different look compared to the previous season. In the second half of 2024, the Anglo-Austrian team experienced a significant decline, but that didn’t prevent Max Verstappen from winning his fourth consecutive World Championship title.

The Dutch champion, who finished second on the final day of testing, commented on the first laps of the RB21, choosing not to get ahead of himself. Here are his statements: “Last year, at a certain point, we realized that something wasn’t quite right; naturally, some issues had to be addressed, and that’s why some changes were made. So, I give my feedback on what I need: the car needs to go faster, and that’s what we’re aiming for.”
Max then added: “I believe the team has learned a lot from last year. We’ve tried to solve these problems, and now we need to see how the car behaves in Australia, which is a completely different track from Bahrain.”
The RB21 seems to have started well, but the first real test will be crucial to understand the car’s evolution: “It couldn’t have been worse than last year, so I think the direction we’re heading in is good. We just have to keep going and see what we can achieve. Right now, it’s still early, there are still many things we’re discussing and want to improve. But yesterday, I had fun, and that’s already a big difference compared to last year.”
