Buriram is “all red”: Marc Marquez dominates the Sprint of the Thai Grand Prix, delivering an incredible display of strength to the entire MotoGP grid. An equally excellent performance came from his brother Alex, who, after securing second place in qualifying, also takes second place in the race.
Third place goes to Pecco Bagnaia: the Italian rider finishes nearly four seconds behind number 93, just ahead of the standout performer of the day, Ai Ogura.
Sprint Race Recap
THE START – The top three get off to a strong start: Bagnaia jumps ahead of Alex Marquez, but the Spaniard quickly fights back to reclaim the position. Marc Marquez holds the lead, while rookie Ai Ogura impressively moves into fourth place.
A big disappointment for Aprilia: on one hand, Martin is out due to injury (replaced by Lorenzo Savadori), while on the other, Marco Bezzecchi struggles at the start, spinning his rear tire and dropping all the way to 14th place.
As the laps go by, the Marquez brothers pull away: Marc leads by a second over Alex, who in turn has a one-second gap over Pecco Bagnaia. Bagnaia, however, is closely followed by an extraordinary Ai Ogura, the undeniable MVP of the race.
In the final stages, Fabio Di Giannantonio is forced to retire, while Jack Miller crashes out. Meanwhile, Marquez celebrates: the Spaniard claims victory and takes back the championship lead after 93 races.
