Lewis Hamilton ended his test day early due to a telemetry anomaly, but the Briton appears satisfied.
Ferrari wrapped up its third and final day of testing with Lewis Hamilton in sixth place and Charles Leclerc in ninth. The seven-time world champion, who took to the track in the afternoon, cut his session short because of a telemetry issue, but the data collected is more than satisfactory for making an assessment.

Lewis himself, at the end of the tests, appeared quite satisfied and confident when speaking to the press. These are his words: “McLaren looks really fast and competitive. They seem very, very close. We won’t know where we stand until next week, but we know we have work to do.”
The seven-time world champion then added: “I feel like there’s still a lot to do. Fortunately, I had the chance to drive the 2023 car, so I was able to compare it with the 2024 car and see the progress made, the issues those two cars had, and how they have improved in this one.”
He concluded: “Obviously, I couldn’t do the test at the end of the year. So, I’ve accumulated a lot during that period. But personally, I just enjoy diving in headfirst and figuring things out. That’s what we’re doing, but clearly, we’re following processes, and I feel like, during this time, we’ve built some really solid foundations.”
