The WEATHER and SCHEDULE for Moto2 in Argentina: Vietti and Alonso in search of their first points

The Moto2 heads to the Termas de Río Hondo circuit for the second weekend of the MotoGP season: here’s the weather and schedule for Moto2 in Argentina.

From Asia to South America: the MotoGP season has truly kicked off, and the Moto2 category, the MotoGP’s junior class, has already provided some thrilling action. Leading the championship is Manu Gonzalez, who was nothing short of perfect in Thailand and will try to defend his lead from the get-go.

Among the most dangerous riders is Aron Canet, who is only five points behind and will be looking to prevent the Intact GP rider from pulling away early in the season. Canet also has two prior experiences on this circuit in Moto2, both of which ended in fourth place, a factor that could give him an advantage over many rivals making their debut on this track.

Senna Agius, on the other hand, might face some difficulties, as he has never raced on the Termas de Río Hondo circuit, while Diogo Moreira, despite having a podium in Argentina in Moto3, will still need to find the right feel with his new bike. For David Alonso, it will also be a complete debut on this track in the context of the MotoGP World Championship.

On the other hand, Sunday’s race could represent a comeback for Celestino Vietti, who three years ago secured his second victory in Moto2 right on this track.

The WEATHER and SCHEDULE for Moto2 in Argentina: Vietti and Alonso in search of their first points

As for the WEATHER, in Argentina, we’re at the end of summer. Temperatures will feature strong fluctuations between early afternoon and evening: only during the Practice sessions will it be possible to test the tires under conditions similar to those expected during Sunday’s race. This could challenge the teams, especially when it comes to tire selection, as predicting their performance and actual durability will be difficult.
