How much do F1 drivers earn in 2025? Here’s the RANKING of the highest-paid: Verstappen and Hamilton cashing in massive figures!
Formula 1 continues to push its financial limits. Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that the sport nearly hit $2.5 billion in revenue, thanks to increasingly engaged sponsors willing to invest in motorsport.
As revenue grows, so do salaries. The insane amounts circulating in the paddock also reflect on the drivers—now more central than ever in a sport that keeps expanding, despite those who claim F1 is “not what it used to be.”
F1 Salaries: Verstappen on Top, Williams Surprise
At the top of the F1 salary rankings is Max Verstappen. According to RacingNews365, the reigning champion will be earning around $65 million, excluding sponsorship deals.
Right behind him is Lewis Hamilton. The British star follows closely with a $60 million base salary from Ferrari, with bonuses that could push the total to $100 million. And with his massive sponsorship portfolio, his earnings will climb even higher.
Charles Leclerc rounds out the podium, maintaining his $34 million salary from 2024. He’s followed by Fernando Alonso ($20M), Lando Norris ($20M), and George Russell ($15M).
When it comes to teams, Ferrari tops the list as the biggest spender: the base salaries of their two drivers alone amount to nearly $100 million, not even counting the performance bonuses the Italian company hope to pay out.
A shocker? Williams outspending Mercedes! With Sainz earning $10 million and Albon $8 million, the Grove-based team ranks fifth in this special classification, far ahead of some of their competitors.
