MotoGP heads to Argentina for the second race of the season: the damp track creates difficulties for everyone, and what a result for Honda!
The MotoGP World Championship has arrived in South America for another race weekend. However, the weather isn’t helping: this morning, the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit was patchy, with a mix of dry and wet areas. This caused problems for many riders, as they struggled with rear grip.

Marc Marquez once again proves to be the reference point in Argentina. Initially, he decides to stay in the pits, avoiding riding on a still-too-wet surface to avoid unnecessarily compromising a set of tires. But when he finally hits the track, he makes an immediate impact: with a perfect lap of 1:38.937, he takes the top spot in the standings, sending a clear message to his rivals.
In second place, an unexpected Johann Zarco, who, along with Luca Marini in fifth and Joan Mir in seventh, makes Honda an unexpectedly strong contender for the weekend.
Third place goes to Alex Marquez, followed by Franco Morbidelli (4th) and Marco Bezzecchi (5th), with Bezzecchi reaffirming himself as one of the weekend’s favorites, even though Aprilia is without its star rider, Jorge Martin.
On the other hand, the FP1 sessions were decidedly negative for Pecco Bagnaia: minimal rear grip on his GP-25 and a final 16th place, with Q2 no longer looking so easily within reach for the Italian sensation.
