Manu Gonzalez dominates Moto2: pole position in both Thailand and Argentina for the Madrid rider.
After the Moto3 session, it’s time for qualifying for the intermediate class of the MotoGP World Championship. Manu Gonzalez confirms himself as the fastest on track, and after his masterclass in Thailand, he repeats with another extraordinary performance: he sets a new record on the circuit, stopping the clock at 1:40.870, lowering the previous best by over 150 thousandths of a second.
The first row is completed by Dixon (2nd) and Ramirez (3rd). Great work from Escrig, who makes it through Q1 and then brings the Klint Forward Factory Team to fourth place.
The only two Italians have to settle for the ninth spot, with Celestino Vietti in 9th, while Tony Arbolino will start from 12th, occupying the last spot on the fourth row. A sore Aron Canet, in 10th position: his left shoulder doesn’t seem to be fully recovered after the fall in yesterday’s practice session.
