BREAKING NEWS: Ai Ogura disqualified from the Argentina GP! Here’s why Here’s why

A weekend to forget for the MotoGP rookie: after a stunning comeback, he’s disqualified.

Unfortunately, Ai Ogura’s extraordinary achievement in the Argentina GP slipped away. Starting from 15th position on the grid after a difficult qualifying session, which was also affected by a fall at the end of Q1, the number 79 rider in MotoGP put on an impressive recovery during today’s race. Gaining seven positions is no small feat, especially for a rookie in the category, but his effort wasn’t enough to achieve the desired result.

After showing all his potential in Thailand with an outstanding weekend, the Japanese rider managed to replicate that performance today in the race. However, just a few minutes ago, his disqualification was officially confirmed by the FIM.

The reason for the disqualification

The news comes directly from the official MotoGP social media pages, which state:Ai Ogura disqualified from the Argentina Grand Prix.”

The post then explains the infraction committed by the Trackhouse Racing team rider. The statement reads: “Ogura crossed the line in P8 and was then disqualified from the Grand Prix for using a version of software not homologated by the Championship.”
