Inaugurated in 2012, the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) has hosted 11 editions of the MotoGP so far, with seven of them won by rider number 93. Along with Argentina, the Spaniard is also undisputed on this track. In Austin, another rider to mention alongside him is Alex Rins, who has reached the top of the podium four times (twice in MotoGP, once in Moto2, and once in Moto3).

However, despite these premises, the last edition was won by Maverick Viñales, while both the previously mentioned Spanish riders retired on the tenth lap of the race.
