Jorge Martin is taking part in the GP of the Americas… as a spectator. The Spanish rider, due to a serious injury, has not yet made his debut in the MotoGP this season. However, it is highly likely that his return will be for the next race, which will take place in Qatar from April 11 to 13.
Unexpectedly, the number one rider of the grid was spotted first in the paddock at the Circuit of the Americas and later in the Aprilia garage, where he watched the first free practice session live.
Perhaps feeling nostalgic for the sensations of riding a racing bike, Martin made quite an “unexpected” move: the number 1 rider hopped on Lorenzo Savadori’s bike, his substitute and the team’s test rider, pretending to ride on track and tackle one corner after another. This amusing moment was captured and posted today on the Italian manufacturer’s Instagram stories.
