Dixon flies in qualifying, Alonso also performs well. A total disaster for Vietti: here’s the starting grid.
The qualifying session for the intermediate class of the MotoGP has concluded. Jake Dixon continues to dominate the Circuit of the Americas, followed by Manu Gonzalez and Berry Baltus. However, the latter crashes during the final time attack, and his condition is still to be confirmed.

David Alonso finds his pace in Moto2 for the first time, surpasses Q1, and performs well in the second part of qualifying, securing 6th position, behind Zonta van den Goorbergh (4th) and Aron Canet (5th).
A disaster for Celestino Vietti: the Italian rider runs wide for two consecutive laps at the beginning of the session. Additionally, when he returns to the pits, the bike has an issue with the rear brake pad, forcing him to leave the pit lane with just over two minutes left in the session.
Despite this, he manages to avoid the checkered flag but cannot avoid the yellow flag caused by Baltus’s crash. He will start tomorrow’s race from 18th position.
