F1, one week until the Japanese Grand Prix: weather uncertainty at Suzuka?

In one week, the third race of the season will take place at Suzuka, with the weather potentially becoming a factor.

Less than a week remains until the Japanese Grand Prix, the third race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The twenty cars will take to the historic Suzuka circuit for a weekend that promises to be very important, especially for Ferrari. Given the issues faced in the first two races, the Scuderia will bring a new floor, and the Japanese track will serve as an important test to assess the effectiveness of this decision.

In the last three editions of the Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull and Max Verstappen have dominated, with the four-time world champion coming off three wins and three pole positions in the last three races in Japan. Currently, McLaren is ahead of the competition, but the weather could disrupt the weekend, just as it did in Australia.

According to weather forecasts, the Japanese weekend could hold some surprises, especially for the race: on Friday and Saturday, the sun is expected to dominate the practice sessions and qualifying, with temperatures not too high but pleasant, around 16 degrees. However, the situation will be completely different for the race, as early forecasts suggest heavy rain could appear right during the race time, with temperatures expected to remain around 17 degrees.
