The SF-25 prepares for the fourth round of the season with a new floor—no updates for Suzuka.
After a tough start to the season, Ferrari is working to regain ground. During the Bahrain Grand Prix, the SF-25 will debut its first upgrade package, featuring a new floor set to hit the track.

New floor in Sakhir: will it be enough?
This update had been in the works at Maranello for months. Initially, there were rumors that it could be introduced early in Suzuka, but those have now been dismissed.
The goal is not an immediate revolution but rather a first step toward improving ride height management—one of the key weaknesses seen in the opening races. According to Corriere della Sera, in an article by Giuliano Duchessa, Ferrari might see only limited benefits unless further targeted interventions are made.
It’s also worth noting that during the Australian GP weekend, there were talks of a possible ride height increase to avoid disqualification, a measure that was ultimately enforced in China.

However, the SF-25’s biggest struggles seem to stem from its rear-end behavior. The aerodynamic load generates excessive squat, causing the car to sink too much and leading to abnormal skid block wear.
The Bahrain upgrade package may provide some relief, but if the root of the issue lies in the suspension, a deeper solution will be needed. Maranello is working hard to fix a car that, for now, doesn’t seem capable of fighting for the title.
