A fantastic performance by Rueda, securing his second win of the season and making it a double podium for the MTA Level Up Team! Quiles finishes fifth in his debut in the MotoGP World Championship. Here’s everything that happened at Austin.

It was Rueda who claimed victory at the Circuit of the Americas, marking his second win of the season and proving to be one of the top contenders for the championship. Also in the top 3 were Kelso and Bertelle, both of whom earned their first podium of 2025.

Also performing well were Piqueras (4th) and Quiles (5th); the latter, despite losing three positions from his starting spot, earned 11 points in his first MotoGP World Championship race, receiving praise from both the Gresini team and the Marquez brothers. Among the Italians who scored points were Foggia in 7th, Pini in 11th, and Carraro in 15th.

Race Summary:

THE START – Maximo Quiles gets off to a strong start, taking the lead early, followed by Carpe and Rueda. Bertelle also had a great start, gaining four positions to move into 6th behind Munoz and Kelso. Adrian Fernandez received a double long lap penalty due to a jump start. However, the new rider for the Aspar team was quickly overtaken by the two KTM Ajo riders.

The first rider to finish the race was Riccardo Rossi, who ended up in the gravel. Shortly after, Munoz crashed as well. The young Spanish rider, number 28, despite showing promise, struggled to keep up with the front-runners and was passed by Kelso and Bertelle.

The race ended for Luca Lunetta: the Italian rider lost the rear of his bike and was thrown to the ground. On the ninth lap, Nepa also slid out, ending a disastrous weekend for the SIC58 Squadra Corse team. However, the crashes didn’t stop there: Perrone lost control of his bike and was hit by Yamanaka, who came from behind. Only 18 riders remained on track, finishing the race with Rueda in the lead.
