The French rider becomes a musician, or so it seems: here’s when he will release his debut album.
Music is a passion that many combine with their professional life: from Charles Leclerc to Rafael Leao, there are many names of people who have released a song or two.
Now, it seems the time has come for MotoGP rider Johann Zarco.
Unlike the Monegasque, known for his love of the piano, the number 5 of the MotoGP world championship appears with an acoustic guitar in a photo studio. Zarco’s musical talent has been known since the lockdown, when he posted videos of himself having fun playing a few tunes.
“He’s not only a great athlete but also a person with a strong artistic nature. He plays the piano, the guitar, and sings. He even dedicated songs to his opponents: one is for Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who discovered him in Brno in 2020,” writes the official MotoGP website in an article from 2022 highlighting some curiosities about the Honda rider.
The Announcement
The news about Zarco’s first album release came this morning on social media, through a video posted by the rider himself, as well as by Dafy Moto, the largest distributor of motorcycle gear and accessories in France. They write: “Our favorite MotoGP rider Johann Zarco unveils his first album ‘Full Throttle’! A unique mix of speed and music that will make you vibe. Available now on your favorite platforms. “
The setting and video editing of the announcement seem quite realistic, but the absence of a tag for a music producer, along with the immediate release statement (without any countdown), make it seem like it could be the first April Fools’ joke of the day.
