Verstappen on Tsunoda: “Yuki? Give him a drink and you’ll see…”

Max Verstappen shared his first (ironic) thoughts on Yuki Tsunoda — here’s what he said.

It’s a weekend full of unknowns for Red Bull. A race with many faces: from the new livery to an RB21 in need of redemption, from Honda’s home GP (as the team’s power unit supplier) to Yuki Tsunoda’s official debut — one thing’s for sure, the stakes are high for Horner and his crew.

Verstappen on Tsunoda: “Yuki? Give him a drink and you’ll see…”

During the press conference, Verstappen made it clear: “The problem isn’t the drivers, it’s the car.” A statement that also sets the tone for Tsunoda, his new teammate, with whom he seems to have already built a good rapport, thanks in part to the years spent “together” between the two sister teams.

Max Verstappen’s Words

Jokingly, Verstappen said about his new teammate: “What do I think of Yuki? Give him a drink and… he becomes a really fun guy!” laughed the number 1.

He also joked about the special hat worn by the Milton Keynes team this weekend: “Look at this… you like it? I designed it myself! Just kidding… obviously I didn’t!” smiled the Dutchman, showing a relaxed and cheerful attitude despite the recent tensions.
