A shocking possibility has just emerged from the paddock: next week, the teams are expected to meet with the FIA to discuss the return of V10 engines!

The initiative was reportedly sparked by recent comments from FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, which reignited interest in a Formula 1 that’s less focused on full electrification and more on the evolution of internal combustion engines through low-emission alternatives.

At the moment, there is no formal proposal on the table, but the meeting — expected to take place at the Bahrain International Circuit — marks a first step toward a potential new technical direction for the post-2026 era.
