The Yamaha test rider will race with the Prima Pramac team also in Lusail: the Portuguese rider is still recovering from his injury.
After an unexpectedly strong weekend in the United States, Augusto Fernandez will return to the track to replace Miguel Oliveira. The official rider of the Prima Pramac team is continuing his rehabilitation process after the incident with Aldeguer during the Sprint Race in Argentina.
Forced to miss the Americas GP, the number 88 rider will also be absent in Lusail: the announcement came today directly from the Italian team of Paolo Campinoti. Once again, the Spanish test rider will take his place, having finished 13th in the Austin race, bringing home 3 important points for the constructors’ championship.
Miguel Oliveira’s Statement
A few days ago, the Portuguese rider shared a post on Instagram wearing a brace and stated: “It’s not easy watching the races from this side, but this is all I can do for now. The recovery is progressing and I’m looking forward to taking the next steps in my rehabilitation. Go Prima Pramac Yamaha!”
