Former F1 Academy World Champion Marta Garcia was involved in a serious accident: the statement on her condition.

Sad news for the motorsport world, especially for the women’s category: one of its top representatives, the Spaniard Marta Garcia, who was the first ever to win the F1 Academy title, was involved in a serious accident during the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

Iron Dames, the statement on the accident

This is how the Iron Dames communicated the incident on their official profiles: “Following a serious on-track accident during the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Marta Garcia is currently on her way to the hospital for precautionary checks.

She is conscious and undergoing all necessary examinations. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.”

Marta Garcia accident: UPDATES

A second statement then followed regarding the condition of the Spanish champion:

“We are pleased to confirm that Marta García is recovering well after the incident during yesterday’s Michelin Le Mans Cup race.

After undergoing extensive medical examinations, she has been cleared of any major injuries and is already back to smiling. As a precaution, she stayed under observation overnight and will have a follow-up assessment today.

We extend our gratitude to the trackside and hospital medical teams, as well as to all the fans for their support.

Marta’s health and safety remain our top priority, and we look forward to seeing her back on track soon.”
