THE WEATHER and SCHEDULE of the MotoGP in Qatar: Bagnaia Chasing the Marquez Brothers

The last stop before the European tour: here are the schedule and details for the only night race of the MotoGP season.

MotoGP arrives at the fourth round of the championship with Alex Marquez, for the first time, leading the riders’ standings. However, at the Lusail International Circuit, there is no clear favorite: since the COVID-19 era, five editions have been held at this track, and there have been five different winners, all of whom are still active riders (Vinales, Quartararo, Bastianini, Di Giannantonio, and Bagnaia).

If we extend the count to include those who have won at least once in Qatar, more than half of the grid has been on the top step of the podium in the Arabian Peninsula at least once—a statistic that highlights the circuit’s absolute unpredictability.

Now, let’s look at the weather and the MotoGP schedule in Qatar.

Italian Times for the Qatar GP

FRIDAY, APRIL 11
2:45 PM – FP1
7:00 PM – PR

SATURDAY, APRIL 12
2:00 PM – FP2
2:40 PM – Qualifying Q1
3:05 PM – Qualifying Q2
7:00 PM – Sprint Race

SUNDAY, APRIL 13

As for the WEATHER, temperatures will be fairly high throughout the weekend, with almost no chance of rain. The biggest risk for the weekend comes from the gusty winds expected on Friday, which, if strong enough, could bring sand onto the track from the nearby desert.
