Ferrari, Hamilton: “On the car, we found something that didn’t work properly.”

Lewis Hamilton commented on his disappointing race in Suzuka, as the seven-time world champion finished in seventh place.

Lewis Hamilton ended the Japanese Grand Prix in seventh position. There were very few highlights from the seven-time world champion, who, apart from the early overtake on Hadjar, was never really in the race, despite a different strategy compared to the leading drivers. The Brit, who started on hard tires, couldn’t make the difference in the final stint, losing about ten seconds to Kimi Antonelli.

Hamilton himself, in the parc fermé, commented on what happened at Suzuka. Here are the British driver’s words: “I just couldn’t make a difference compared to the cars ahead of me. We’ve found something on the car that hasn’t been working in the last three races, and I hope that once the issue is resolved, I’ll start getting better results. With this problem, I lose a little over a tenth per lap. I hope it’s fixed for the next race.”

The former McLaren and Mercedes driver then added: “I really hope that in the next race, there will be some positive changes. In the first three races, there was a bit of a deficit on both sides of the garage in one element of the car. From my side, there’s something that’s not working. It’s good to know, and given what I had available, this was the best result.”
