After the unforgivable mistake in tire choice at Austin, Manu Gonzalez lost the lead in the rider standings, dropping to third place and being overtaken by both the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team rider and Aron Canet. The Spaniard is followed by Alonso Lopez, the former Moto2 winner at the Lusail International Circuit.

As a result, this race could be a crucial turning point in the title fight for number 18 in Moto2. However, everything will depend on his ability to stay calm and focused: any mistake could be costly in terms of points and confidence.

Let’s now look at the WEATHER and SCHEDULE for Moto2 in Qatar.

Italian Times for the Qatar GP

FRIDAY, APRIL 11
1:50 PM – FP1
6:05 PM – PR

SATURDAY, APRIL 12
1:15 PM – FP2
5:45 PM – Qualifying Q1
6:10 PM – Qualifying Q2

SUNDAY, APRIL 13

As for the WEATHER, temperatures will remain fairly high throughout the weekend, with almost no chance of rain. The biggest risk for the weekend is the strong winds forecasted for Friday, which, if strong enough, could bring sand from the nearby desert onto the track.
