The Weather and Schedule for Moto3 in Qatar: A Major Absence for an Italian Rider

by Giulia Amari

The Moto3 championship continues at the Lusail International Circuit, and this marks a big opportunity for José Antonio Rueda to extend his lead over the competition.

The Lusail International Circuit is famous for hosting the only night race in the MotoGP calendar, but Moto3 is the only category that competes before sunset. The race is expected to be particularly balanced and contested: none of the riders currently active in Moto3 has ever won at this track.

Despite this, Qatar presents a great opportunity for José Antonio Rueda to further extend his lead in the championship standings. Currently first with a 24-point advantage over Piqueras, number 99 could make the decisive break.

On the other hand, the absence of Matteo Bertelle will benefit both the young rider of FRINSA – MT Helmets – MSI and Adrian Fernandez: both have a chance to pull ahead of one of the title favorites.

Moto3 Schedule in Qatar (Italian Time)

As for the WEATHER, temperatures will remain fairly high throughout the weekend, with almost no chance of rain. The biggest risk for the weekend is the strong winds forecasted for Friday, which, if strong enough, could bring sand from the nearby desert onto the track.
