At the Sakhir Circuit, it’s time to focus on the F2 Sprint Race in Bahrain. Starting from the front row: Dürksen and Beganovic. Here’s the full race report from the junior category!
The task of kicking off the day’s action ahead of the top-tier qualifying session — scheduled for 6:00 PM local time — went to Formula 2, which took to the Sakhir Circuit for the Sprint Race of the second round of the season. The race followed the third and final Free Practice session of Formula 1, where McLaren dominated with a 1-2 led by Oscar Piastri.
After the disappointment at Albert Park, where the Feature Race was called off due to weather conditions, the second win of the 2025 season goes to Pepe Martí, followed by Verschoor and Dürksen. The Spanish driver from Campos Racing clinched victory with a decisive last-lap overtake, snatching the lead from the AIX Racing driver. Also impressive were the comebacks from the two Italian drivers, Gabriele Minì and Leonardo Fornaroli, who finished eighth and ninth respectively, both securing points after a strong recovery drive.
