Disaster for Jake Dixon in Lusail: the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team rider crashed near the end and heads home with a costly zero in the championship battle. Aron Canet took full advantage, securing a brilliant victory and moving to the top of the standings, with Manu Gonzalez trailing him by 10 points.
Dani Holgado continues to prove himself as the best rookie of the season, while Moto3 champion David Alonso is struggling, especially at the start.
