Ángel Piqueras is the new leader in the Moto3 rider standings: his victory in Qatar puts him 1 point ahead of his Red Bull KTM Ajo rival. Bertelle was absent, making it easy for a strong-performing Kelso to overtake him at the Lusail International Circuit, while Fernandez’s retirement allows Furusato to get closer in the championship battle.
