A fiercely contested race at the Lusail International Circuit, but Marquez’s victory puts distance between him and the rest — here are the points for all the riders.
Qatar shakes up the fight for the world title: the Marquez brothers remain at the top of the standings, but several riders made big gains and recovered valuable points in the championship battle.

Excellent race from Maverick Viñales, who brings KTM back to the podium and came close to making MotoGP history. Solid performances also from Morbidelli (4th), Zarco (5th), and Aldeguer (6th), while Martin crashes out in his Aprilia debut and remains at zero points, along with Chantra.
Update: Viñales Penalty
Rider #12 Maverick Viñales was found to have tire pressure below the allowed minimum for more than 40% of the race. According to FIM regulations, the minimum permitted pressure is 1.80 bar at the front and 1.68 at the rear, and these levels must be maintained for at least three-fifths of the race.
As a result, Viñales has been handed a 16-second time penalty, which will be added to his final race time. This completely shatters the KTM rider’s performance, causing him to drop from second place all the way down to fourteenth.
