Charles Leclerc speaks to the media ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – the Monegasque is aiming for his first podium of the season.
Charles Leclerc is coming off a strong weekend in Bahrain, although he finished the race in just fourth place. An impressive qualifying session and an equally spectacular race weren’t enough for the Monegasque to secure his first podium of the season, partly due to the Safety Car, which nullified Ferrari’s solid strategy. Saudi Arabia could offer another good opportunity for Ferrari’s number 16 on a circuit where he previously had a thrilling battle with Verstappen.

Speaking at his usual media session, the Monegasque introduced the Saudi race like this: “I really like this track. It requires a lot of courage, and that pays off, especially in qualifying where you have to take some risks. That’s something that motivates me, particularly on the Saturday flying lap. I’m feeling confident because over the last few weekends I’ve found the right direction, the one I’ve been pushing for. I’m not saying it’s the final one, but for now I like it, and it seems to be working. We’ll see where it takes us.”
Leclerc then added: “Winning? That’s the only goal I’m fighting for. It’s possible – I’ve been saying that since the start of the year – even if it’s more difficult compared to the end of 2024. We have to make what seems complicated, possible, and we’re working on that – not just on track, but also back in Maranello. I hope the results come soon because there’s a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes to reach our goals. If there’s one thing you can always count on from me, it’s that I’ll never stop pushing to win. I’m always motivated to fight to be in front.”
