VIDEO – Bearman Gives Flowers to Hadjar: The Surprise Gesture in the F1 Paddock

Ollie Bearman, the 2005-born Haas driver, “gifted” a bouquet of flowers to Isack Hadjar — here’s the video.

There’s a light-hearted atmosphere in the Formula 1 paddock among the rookies this season. Just hours before the start of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend, a funny moment between Ollie Bearman and Isack Hadjar brought smiles all around: the British driver handed a bouquet of flowers to the Frenchman as he arrived at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The gesture amused fans and team members alike, especially once it became clear it was all just a light-hearted gag. As part of a local tradition, Saudi officials welcome all drivers at the airport with a bouquet of flowers — and it seems likely that Bearman simply passed on his own bouquet to Hadjar. A fun and ironic way to break the ice and a reminder of the friendly bond shared between the rising stars of the F1 grid.

Jokes and special memories

While Hadjar is making his return to Jeddah after a single F2 appearance here, for Bearman this venue carries special meaning. It was exactly one year ago, on this very track, that the young Brit made his sensational Formula 1 debut with Ferrari.

Called up at the last minute to replace Carlos Sainz, Bearman impressed with a calm, composed drive, finishing an incredible seventh, ahead of fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton — now the official occupant of that same Ferrari seat. The seven-time world champion was quick to congratulate Bearman publicly, even approaching him directly in parc fermé to express his admiration.
