Red Bull is eager to quickly move past the underwhelming performance in Bahrain, and that’s why a significant upgrade package is expected to debut in Saudi Arabia.

For the first time this season, Red Bull managed to get both cars into the points in Bahrain. Still, the result was far from satisfying: sixth place for Verstappen and ninth for Tsunoda, who nonetheless put in a solid recovery drive. On top of that, rumors surrounding Max Verstappen’s potential departure have stirred internal tensions within the Anglo-Austrian team—tensions Red Bull is determined to respond to swiftly.

According to sources close to the team, Red Bull is set to bring a major upgrade package to this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The updates are expected to focus on the central section of the car’s floor, particularly where it connects to the side Venturi channels. Red Bull engineers believe this change will alter the pressure management underneath the car and shift the aerodynamic center of pressure further toward the rear.

In addition to the aerodynamic improvements, there will also be key mechanical changes in the sidepod area. These are designed to simplify internal fluid dynamics and optimize weight distribution within the strict limits of the current regulations—limits that have already impacted several teams this season, including Ferrari, whose cars were disqualified in China due to related infractions.
