Lewis Hamilton struggles in Jeddah weekend, Briton only qualifies seventh
Lewis Hamilton is facing more challenges than expected in his adaptation to the SF-25. Throughout the weekend, the seven-time world champion has never been competitive—neither in race pace nor in qualifying simulations—ultimately finishing yesterday’s session in seventh place. Nearly a full second off the fastest time and six tenths behind teammate Charles Leclerc, Hamilton is struggling to fully understand the root of these issues..

Speaking in post-qualifying interviews, Hamilton was candid in assessing his difficult moment. The Brit said: “What do I need today? A brain transplant. I just need to take a deep breath. I know the fans aren’t happy. I’m sure the team isn’t happy either. And I’m certain the bosses aren’t happy. And I’m not happy with my results either. All I can do is keep believing in myself, stay positive, and keep working. That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Hamilton’s words were telling, and he went on to add: “Something happens when I get to Q3. Something weird—maybe it’s the out lap, or I’ve used the tyres too much or too little. I start my flying lap and the gap is already bigger than it should be. I’ve been working and trying to… but things just aren’t coming as easily as they used to. It all used to come naturally, but right now, it’s not.”
