The Spanish rider has been released from the hospital where he had been admitted for a week — here’s what he shared on social media about his condition.
The nightmare continues for the reigning world champion: Jorge Martín can’t catch a break, plagued by a series of injuries. The most recent incident occurred during the Qatar GP, where the Aprilia rider (#1) was hit by Fabio Di Giannantonio’s bike after slipping on a curb. Di Giannantonio was unable to avoid the fallen Spaniard in time.

The crash left Martín with eleven fractured ribs and a pneumothorax, which led to his immediate hospitalization in Qatar. Two days ago, Jorge Martín was discharged from the hospital, and just recently, he shared a photo on his Instagram page showing himself alongside his girlfriend, Maria Monfort Matutes.
Jorge Martin’s Words
Alongside the photo, the rider from Madrid wrote: “Finally out of the hospital. I’m incredibly grateful for all the love, support, and messages I’ve received during this tough time. They truly meant a lot to me. I’m still in a lot of pain, but things are under control.”
“I’ll be staying in Qatar for a few more days as a precaution, and as soon as I can, I’ll head home to rest and be with my people. Hopefully, that day will come very soon.”
