Alex Marquez smiled in front of the cameras at the Circuito de Jerez: “So far, we’ve shown great speed, but this place is different.”
He’s been the big surprise of the early season — briefly leading the championship in Qatar and showing a level of consistency never seen before in his career.
Speaking during the press conference for the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Grand Prix of Spain 2025, Alex said: “Winning here in Jerez would be amazing. We’ll try to give our all in every session, taking it one step at a time. So far, we’ve had four races where we showed strong pace, but like Marc said, now we’re at Jerez — and this is a completely different track from the ones we’ve raced on so far.”
“It’s a circuit that requires a new approach, total focus. Everyone needs to give 100%. Being here in Jerez is really special for me” , continued Alex, a native of Cervera.
“This is where I won my first Moto2 race, where I made my debut — it’s a place full of emotion for me. But at the same time, we need to stay focused, keep the right mindset, do the same things, and work in the same way. And of course, always aim for the maximum: we’ll try to win,” he concluded.
