Max Verstappen spoke to the media ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, the sixth round of the season.

After a one-week break, Formula 1 returns this weekend with the Miami Grand Prix, the sixth race of the season and the second to feature the sprint format. All eyes are on Oscar Piastri, currently the man to beat with three wins in the last four races and the drivers’ championship lead, with Norris and Verstappen chasing behind.

The four-time world champion is coming off a strong weekend in Saudi Arabia with pole position and a second-place finish, hampered only by a five-second penalty for contact with Piastri at the start. Verstappen and Red Bull are searching for balance amid fluctuating performances, and the Dutch driver shared the following in an interview: “I think we need to find more overall performance, especially balance, and of course consistency. We’re not strong on every track. That’s quite clear.”

Verstappen then added: “In Bahrain, we were missing quite a lot. In Saudi Arabia, it was much better. But, as I said, the tire degradation was also very low, and that brings other cars into play. So we still have work to do, but at least Jeddah was a promising result.”
