Formula 1 has just officially announced that a multi-year agreement has been reached for the Mexican Grand Prix.
The Mexican Grand Prix will continue to be part of the Formula 1 calendar at least until 2028. A few moments ago, the agreement between Liberty Media and the event organizers was officially announced, securing a multi-year extension that will allow Mexico to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix for the next three seasons. Formula 1 has announced that the Mexico City Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until 2028, under a new three-year extension starting in 2026. Since its return to the sport in 2015, the Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most significant events of the year, thanks to its passionate fans and electrifying atmosphere.
The Mexico City Grand Prix embodies the vibrancy and culture of the Mexican capital, where high-speed racing meets Día de los Muertos celebrations and incredible live music from world-renowned artists. The award-winning event has become a favorite among fans, teams, and drivers, with every edition since its return selling out. In 2024, 405,000 people attended the festivities, setting a new record for the Mexico City Grand Prix.
