According to local media reports, the probability of rain for Sunday’s race has risen to 60%.

Formula 1 is gearing up for the Miami weekend, the sixth round of the 2025 season and the second featuring the Sprint Race format. All the ingredients are in place for a thrilling weekend: Piastri is aiming for his third consecutive win, Norris is looking to bounce back after a couple of tough weekends, while Max Verstappen will be ready to challenge the two McLarens.

It’s not just the top three in the standings to watch out for—Mercedes is expected to perform well on this track, and Ferrari aims to continue progressing after two solid races, particularly from Leclerc. However, there’s one factor that could shake things up: rain. According to local forecasts, the chances of rain on Sunday have increased to 60%, up from 40% in recent days.

The Miami Grand Prix, now in its fourth edition, has never seen a wet race. This season, however, rain played a major role in the opening round in Australia, where Norris claimed victory ahead of Verstappen and Russell. It’s hard to say who might benefit from a wet race, but Max and even Lewis Hamilton could take advantage, especially given the British driver’s struggles early in the season.

As for the rest of the weekend, no rain is expected on Friday and Saturday, when the Sprint qualifying, the Sprint race, and the traditional qualifying session will take place. On Sunday, however, heavy showers are currently forecast to play a major role. Will we see a wet Miami Grand Prix?
