Congratulations are in order for… Max Verstappen: the Dutchman has just become a father!
A joyful event preceded the Miami Grand Prix weekend: Max Verstappen is now a dad. The four-time Formula 1 World Champion welcomed his first daughter with partner Kelly Piquet, daughter of F1 legend Nelson Piquet.

The announcement came via a shared Instagram post from the new parents. The heartwarming caption read:
“Welcome to the world, sweet Lily. Our hearts are fuller than ever – you are our greatest gift. We love you so much.”
Verstappen Skips Media Day but Will Be on Track for FP1
Despite the significance of the moment, Max flew to the United States on Thursday afternoon, skipping Miami’s media day to stay by Kelly’s side for the birth. However, he will be back on track from FP1, ready to defend his lead in the championship standings.
The news has already made its way around the paddock and across social media, with messages of congratulations pouring in from across the motorsport world and beyond. From Fabio Quartararo to Heineken, from Formula 1 itself to Formula E, many celebrated the arrival of baby Lily and this new chapter in Verstappen’s life.
